The Vital Records Department of the Scott County Health Department started keeping records in February 1882. There are no records in Indiana before that time. The Indiana State Department of Health in Indianapolis started keeping records in October 1907.
This office can only issue record for those who were born or died in Scott County, only.
Records can be obtained from our office, on a walk in basis during our office hours.
